Wick Harbour is strategically situated on the northeast tip of mainland Scotland at 58° 26.5’ N, and 003° 04’ W, and for the last 150 years has provided a safe haven for fishing, commercial, and leisure vessels.
Diversification is now well under way from our traditional fishing activities, with our new Marina facility opened in 2009, and development of wave, tidal, offshore wind, and oil exploration in the Pentland and Moray Firths.
Wick is well placed to support the developing Offshore Renewables industry off our coast. Due to our close proximity to the Moray Firth wind farm developments, and our services on offer, we have already been chosen as the Operations and Maintenance base supporting the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm.
Our geographical location in relation to the existing and future wind farms along the Moray Firth and those sites scoped in the latest Scotwind leasing round is a major cost benefit and significant advantage to operators.
